…and I’m feeling good.
You know we feel strongly about a certain subject when we resort to quoting the great Nina Simone.
So you might have noticed some changes afoot on the web layout and indeed the layout of some our regular features such as the city guides, the trip reports and the eat well sections – that’s because we’ve been hard at work at refining the back-end and the resulting front end specifics of the website.
It being the new year and all, and with 2016 being a very questionable in the grand scheme of things, we are hoping and trying for the best in 2017. So we thought why not, let’s give the site and indeed our content a bit of a facelift. Don’t get us wrong, we’re sticking to who we are fundamentally and will continue to do so, we just wanted to shake things up a bit. We were gunning for a more sleek and neat layout for you to get the most out of our articles and stories – and we hope we’ve achieved that.
We also wanted to open up a bit more about who we are and what/where we’ve traveled, and hence the interactive map that we fully intend to add on in the coming year and beyond.
But the main thing is you – we write to share our knowledge for the sole purpose of engaging and learning from like minded people, with of course some banter along the way. The changes that we’ve done to our site and layout is with the sole thought of making it as easily accessible and readable for you – so with that in mind, we, as always, welcome feedback, suggestions, constructive criticism and other messages of the like so we can all benefit from our shared love of travel.
We’re less than two weeks into 2017 and it already looks to be shaping up into a doozy of year – so let’s make our own worlds just that much better – even if by only a little – by resolving to travel often, eat well, enjoy what we have and what it enables us to do and most of all, share it with all because we at Change Your Altitude firmly believe that more interaction and inclusion – not less – will and does make the world a better place. And this is pertinent now more so than ever.
So we hope you enjoy the new site and find what we post more informational and appealing – and if not, no worries – please just drop us a line on how we can improve the experience for you. Open minded we are, and shall always be.
We started with Nina, and so too do we end with her:
Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don’t you know
Butterflies all havin’ fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done that’s what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world for me
Travel often, keep minds open.
